Use of Panels is NOT Permitted in Panther Campground. Please see attached letter.

The Panther Campground is located approximately 8.5 km down the Panther Road. This small campground is near the Panther River and provides a base for fishing, site seeing, or you can explore the country on the equestrian trails or ATV's.

The sites are all first come first serve, including group camping.

      • Garbage: This is a user maintained campground.  Garbage receptacles are not provided
It is MANDATORY that campers pack out their garbage.

      • Toilets: Vault toilets are available on-site.  Toilet paper and hand sanitizer are not provided.  Campers must be prepared to provide their own toilet paper and hand sanitizer.  Toilets will be cleaned a minimum of once a week, campers may clean the toilet facilities themselves prior to their use if required.  Dumping on any garbage or sewage into the vault is prohibited.

      • Wildlife: Campers must ensure that all garbage, food and associated attractants are secured within a hard walled trailer or vehicle when not in use to prevent attracting bears and other wildlife to your campsite.

      • This is an unserviced campground

      • According to Public Lands, the Panther Road, trails and campground are now open to OHVs. The trunk road is also open from south of Mountainaire to the Coal Camp Road and various spots from there to Highway 11. There will be enforcement for speed limits and alcohol use. More information is available on this year's Bighorn maps. Public Lands is making a new map on trails South of the Red Deer River available at Mountainaire Lodge.

**Unfortunately someone has taken it upon themselves to put up signs prohibiting OHVs on the Panther Road and in the campground. These have been taken down. If you see a person putting up signs or doing anything that looks out of place, please take a picture and FOESA will send it to enforcement.**
